Scroll has really made a name for itself in the Layer 2 space, which is no easy feat given how saturated the market is these days. What sets Scroll apart is its use of zkEVM technology, making it super easy for developers to migrate dApps from mainnet without any major headaches. Plus, it handles scalability and gas fee reductions effectively, which is a huge deal for anyone tired of Ethereum’s high transaction costs.

Another big win for Scroll is the confidence it's managed to earn from top VCs, raising significant funds even before launching a token. That says a lot about the team's vision and execution. The downside of raising so much prior to token launch, however, is how much of the supply has to be allocated to investors and the team. Looking at their tokenomics, a 7% allocation for the first airdrop on October 22 seems very light for almost a year of farming, while the Binance launchpool will receive 5.5%. This is sure to cause some short term fud, however likely won't have much of a long-term impact on price action.
